Aim: To help bars introduce beer pong and run continuous events smoothly & successfully so as to generate extra revenue.
There are two main types of beer pong activities you can incorporate into your establishment. Firstly, you can put beer pong tables out and make them available for use on a nightly basis for people to play at their leisure. Secondly, you can organize and hold weekly tournaments. There is very little work involved in nightly leisure play. Your nightly beer pong will inevitably grow through the promotion of your weekly tournaments.
Nightly Play:
Nightly, set up 1 table for use in a convenient place in the bar.
Have rules posted near the table
Have 1 sign up sheet or chalk board hanging per table so people can sign up to play the winners. You many print an official BJ’s Beer Pong sign up sheet, available at www.bjsbeerpong.com/bars
Make available at the bar, 2 ping pong balls and 7 or 11 16oz solo style keg cups per side.
Have your bar back or bus clean and remove cups and spilled beer from table as needed.
If the line gets really long you can set up second or third table (as many as you need), don’t set up additional tables too early, a little line is good.
Tournaments:
Promoting:
Print out fliers (there are some provided on our site [will need to be modified for your event] www.bjsbeerpong.com/bars) and hang them in the bar two weeks prior to your opening tournament, and then continuously after that.
Have a sign up sheet in the bar at all times (also available on our site)
Team name, players names, contact info: tel and email, payment (suggested: $30 in advance $35 at the door). Cost of entry will depend upon the prize and size of tournament but may be up to $50/team.
Have attractive staff members dressed sexy (preferably in BJ’s attire) walk around signing people up and giving out fliers on your busy nights.
Display the prize whether it is a beer pong table or a sign saying beer pong tournament, prizes include xyz. The bigger the better.
Have your brackets hanging in the bar all the time. As people sign up, fill in there names so others can see. In the beginning, before you have anyone signed up make up 5-10 teams to get the ball rolling. After you have about 5-10 actual sign ups, you can erase the made up teams.
Have beer pong tables out and available for use before your big opener and ongoing as you continue forward
Make your staff aware of what’s going on so that they can promote the event and the fact that you are running beer pong tournaments.
Create a “Beer Pong Hall of Fame”
This can be a list of all past winners in order, with the date they won or just a picture of the last weeks winners with their prize.

Tables
Buy some BJ’s Beer Pong tables www.bjsbeerpong.com/tables ! When we designed these tables, we had rowdy bar usage specifically in mind.
BJ’s Beer Pong tables are very sturdy & will last you for a long time so you don’t need to keep buying them every few months.
Our tables are totally compactable and portable so that you can remove them and store then when they are not in use.
We are the only company that offers 2 sizes, official size and king size tables. If you have some extra room, the king size will fill it up great and feels very professional. If you are a little more pressed for room, our official size table will probably fit you better.
We can customize a table specifically for your bar www.bjsbeerpong.com/tables/get-a-quote.htm. If you want your bar’s logo on the table top, we can do that.
These tables are professional and very attractive and will help to legitimize your beer pong events.
Environment
If this is an evening event, keep the lighting low so that it has a party look and feel. If you can, get some lights on the tables so that there is a spotlight type feel.
Play music. Stop the music when you are announcing winners and the teams that will play on the tables next.
Get promo girls to walk around and flirt/talk to participants so that there is a light, fun feel.
Set up the event so that other bar-goers can be drawn in by the energy and participate in the event as onlookers (get these people signed up for next weeks tournament right there!).
